[The value of ultrasonography in the diagnosis of mesenteric lymphadenitis]. Mesenteric lymphadenitis is one of the most important diseases in the differential diagnosis of abdominal pain. Ultrasonography has been applied in the diagnosis of mesenteric lymphadenitis, but its diagnostic value was not yet reported. In this study, the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and diagnostic accuracy of ultrasonography were compared with those of the gold standard of surgical intervention. The study group consisted of 97 children with mesenteric lymphadenitis. B-mode, color Doppler ultrasonography and fine-needle aspiration biopsy were applied. In the study, ultrasonography showed an acceptable level of accuracy for the diagnosis of mesenteric lymphadenitis (86.8%). It was concluded that ultrasonography is a reliable method for the diagnosis of mesenteric lymphadenitis.Conventional computer data storage systems include a magnetic disk media which is used for storage of large amounts of data.
